The story begins with Manny, a grumpy but lovable mammoth, who lives a solitary life. One day, he's forced to take in a human baby, Roshan, after his tribe abandons it. Manny teams up with Sid, a goofy and talkative sloth, and Diego, a sly and agile saber-toothed tiger. Along the way, they face various obstacles, including treacherous landscapes, ferocious predators, and harsh weather conditions.

As they journey to the human settlement, the trio develops an unlikely friendship, learning to work together and trust each other. In the process, they also discover the true meaning of family and loyalty.
